Ottobock cares about sustainability. Developers, O&P professionals and product managers are all eager to find alternative materials. Resins, fibres, thermoplastics and adhesives are tested for environmental impact and functionality before being included in the new GreenLine range. Fibre resin composites are used in orthopaedics, generally in the form of carbon. But they are not considered to be environmentally friendly. For this reason, we’re looking for bio-based alternatives that are more environmentally friendly and less damaging to the health of O&P professionals.
